VERNIUM CLEAN-1160

Dyeing Auxiliaries
Improves the quality and reproducibility of virtually every textile wet process. Washing off agent for reactive dyeing and prints on cellulosic fibres and their blends.

CHARACTERISTICS

  • Highly efficient dispersant for insoluble and sparingly soluble calcium salts, pectin's and other impurities such as cotton linters.
  • No de-metalizing effect on dyestuff and improves penetration and distribution of the dye liquor.
  • Eliminates problems due to the re-deposition of calcium silicate and other crystalline impurities on to the yarn or fabric.
  • Inhibits the formation of insoluble derivatives of vat dyestuff.
  • Good dispersing properties with reactive and direct dyes.
  • Promotes solubility of hydrolyzed reactive dyes
  • Improves dispersion in reduction clearing baths.
  • Dispersing agent and protective colloid in silk de-gumming.
  • Bio eliminable and phosphate free.
  • Low viscosity liquid.

BENEFITS

  • Prevents the build-up of these materials on machine surfaces or the fiber being processed. Precipitation of hardness salts is prevented and liquor stability is vastly improved by the excellent protective colloid function of the product.
  • Improved leveling and reproducibility
  • Handle is improved and subsequent winding or sewing properties are greatly enhanced.
  • improved dyeability, higher color yield and enhanced fastness to rubbing.
  • Improved leveling, when dyeing cellulosic fibers.
  • Savings in time, energy, water consumption and effluent charges, when washing off reactive dyes.
  • Prevents re-deposition of degraded dyestuff.
  • Not toxic or harmful to aquatic organisms.
  • Improved gum removal with a better white and enhanced lustre.
  • Easy to handle and soluble in water in all proportions.

APPLICATIONS

Required amount

Owing to the wide variety of applications of VERNIUM CLEAN 1160, it is impossible to give specific recommendations, however, the amount of VERNIUM CLEAN 1160 required will usually fall within the range given below: 0.3-2 g/I VERNIUM CLEAN 1160. The following are offered as a guide to the use of VERNIUM CLEAN 1160 for individual application.

Preparation and bleaching:

VERNIUM CLEAN 1160 is ideal for the use in the preparation and bleaching of cotton or polyester/cotton yarns or fabric. It is suitable for the use on all conventional equipment, and will prevent the build up of insoluble calcium and magnesium salts on the machinery, as well as aiding the preparation of clean lint free fabric. The following concentration is recommended: 1-2 el VERNIUM CLEAN 1160.

Dyeing

VERNIUM CLEAN 1160 will effectively sequester the alkaline earth metal salts present in hard water without removing the metal ions present in some dyes. The concentration required will depend upon the hardness of the water and will typically fall within the range: 0.5-2 VERNIUM CLEAN 1160.

In the above applications VERNIUM CLEAN 1160 should be added to the treatment liquor first and thoroughly dispersed before any other auxiliaries are added.

Washing off reactive dyes:

VERNIUM CLEAN 1160 is suitable for washing off reactive dyed or printed goods. It promotes solubility of the hydrolyzed color and prevents re-deposition onto the fabric or yarn. VERNIUM CLEAN 1160 should be added into the first hot washing. Treatment and the quantity required will typically be: 1-2 el VERNIUM CLEAN 1160.
