VERNIUM AB 2480 acid buffer is added to the dyebath at the start of the (HT-) exhaust dyeing cycle. Dissolving/diluting
VERNIUM AB 2480 acid buffer is diluted with water in all proportions and is added to the dyebath before the dyes.
For PES fibers
VERNIUM AB 2480 acid buffer is a complete acid dyeing buffer and no further acid needs to be used The required amount depends on various factors (e.g. amount of dyes. water, additional chemicals) but will normally lie within the limits given below Preliminary trials should be caned out
2.0 g/1 VERNIUM AB 2480 Required amount
Required amount for WO fibers (ACID dyes)
The required amount depends on various factors e.g. kind of wool and its alkalinity or acidity, amount of dyes. water. additional chemicals and also on liquor ratio (see also under notes). It will normally lie within the limits given below Preliminary trials should be carried out.
3.0-5.0 g/l VERNIUM AB 2480
Due to excellent buffer capacity of VERNIUM AB 2480 acid buffer higher amounts of
alkali might be required for one-bath-two-step dyeing of PES/CEL blends with
disperse/reactive dyes to achieve the required pH for maximum fixation of the reactive
dyes.
For short liquor ratio dyeing of less than 7:1 use 1-2% VERNIUM AB 2480 acid buffer on weight of goods.
If the dyebath contains impurities such as Ca2+, Mg’*, Fe3+ and/or Cu2+ an addition of 0.2-1.0 g/I VERNIUM LEVEL 4420 is recommended
NOTES regarding WOOL
Due to high acid affinity of the wool fiber itself the amount of usage of VERNIUM AB 2480 acid buffer is generally higher than for PES fibers
For short liquor ratio dyeing of e.g 10.1 and less, the amount of usage of VERNIUM AB 2480 acid buffer should be at least 5%. Depending on wool quality the amount of product can be even higher. Therefore preliminary trials are recommended in order to achieve the optimum pH for dyeing with ACID dyes (pH 4.5-5).
VERNIUM AB 2480 acid buffer can also be used for dyeing wool blends e.g. PES/WO or PAN/WO where above-mentioned pH is required.
